Perry Skountrianos

Senior Program Manager, Microsoft

Perry Skountrianos has over 15 years of experience in the areas of cloud computing, databases, and data management. In his current role as a Senior Program Manager on the SQL Server Engineering team, he is primarily focusing on Availability and Performance for Azure SQL Database and SQL Server. Before joining SQL Server, he co-founded a Seattle based Health IT software startup company where he served as the Chief Technology Officer for 7 years. Prior to that, he held multiple positions as Software/Database Engineer at small-medium size companies in Chicago, Seattle, and Athens Greece. Panagiotis Antonopoulos

Principal Software Engineer, Microsoft

Panagiotis Antonopoulos is a Principal Software Engineer in the SQL Server and Azure SQL DB team in Microsoft. He joined in 2011 and has been focusing on the areas of security, recovery, large-scale databases, index and schema management. He has been part of several features in the last SQL Server and Azure releases, including Accelerated Database Recovery, Resumable Online Index Build, Always Encrypted and Row Level Security.
