The forgotten Object Explorer Details window in SSMS

Αρκετά πράγματα υπάρχουν μέσα στο SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) με τα οποία μπορείς να κάνεις απίστευτη δουλειά και το λέω εγώ που είμαι κατεξοχήν λάτρης του κώδικα.

Ένα από αυτά είναι το ξεχασμένο κατά την άποψη μου από πολλούς Object Explorer Details window που σε βοηθάει πραγματικά και κάνει πολλά πράγματα που δεν περίμενες να κάνεις με ελάχιστες κινήσεις και κυρίως χωρίς να γράφεις queries.

Για να δει κάποιος το συγκεκριμένο window αρκεί να πατήσει F7 η από το μενού να επιλέξει View > Object Explorer Details.

Ανάλογα το τι έχει επιλέξει από τον Object Explorer window αυτόματα αλλάζουν και τα περιεχόμενα του Object Explorer Details window δείχνοντας συγκεκριμένες κολώνες.

Ελάχιστοι όμως γνωρίζουν ότι μπορούν να δουν περισσότερες πληροφορίες αρκεί να κάνουν right click στην γραμμή που εμφανίζονται τα ονόματα των κολώνων. Με αυτό θα εμφανιστεί ένα popup το οποίο ανάλογα με το context θα έχει επιπλέον κολώνες για να εμφανιστούν.

Ελάχιστοι επίσης γνωρίζουν ότι μπορείς να επιλέξεις μαζικά ή επιλεκτικά τα objects που θέλεις και με right click να βγάλεις το script για CREATE/ALTER/DROP

Πραγματικά είναι ένα ξεχασμένο feature που όμως βοηθάει αρκετά.
