Migrating Crystal Reports to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services

Αρκετές φορές έχω ερωτηθεί αν μπορεί να γίνει μετατροπή των υφιστάμενων report που είναι φτιαγμένα με Crystal Reports (.rtp) σε SQL Server Reporting Services (.rdl). Αυτό και άλλα πολλά ήταν και είναι εφικτό να γίνουν αρκεί να βουτούσες για τα καλά μέσα στο SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services Migration Guide.

Πρόσφατα στο Microsoft | Business Intelligence site, η Microsoft μας ενημερώνει ότι μια εταιρεία (Crystal Conversions) παρέχει μια υπηρεσία που κάνει αυτό που υπόσχεται να μετατρέψεις τα .rpt σε .rdl με ένα μεγάλο ποσοστό επιτυχίας (>90%). Η υπηρεσία αυτή είναι online και δεν είναι δωρεάν. Σου δίνεται όμως η δυνατότητα να την κάνεις evaluate.

Προσωπικά την δοκίμασα και τα αποτελέσματα ήταν παραπάνω από αυτά που περίμενα. Έμεινα αρκετά ευχαριστημένος και σας προτείνω να την δοκιμάσετε. Ποτέ δεν ξέρεις πότε και που θα σου είναι χρήσιμο κάτι τέτοιο ειδικά στην σημερινή εποχή που όλοι γυρίζουν στο νούμερο ένα BI σύστημα που δεν είναι άλλο από τον SQL Server.

Microsoft honored him as MVP on Data Platform due to his activities in SQL Server since 2010. He holds a large number of Microsoft Certifications and Microsoft SQL Server Certifications since version 6.5.
